Outlander Tours

Outlander Day 1....awesome! My amazing ladies and I had a ball today as we explored some Outlander Locations and some beautiful parts of Scotland. We started with a quick visit to Queensferry & the 3 bridges, followed by our favourite..Lallybroch (Midhope Castle). Onward to Fort William (Blackness Castle), Cranesmuir (Culross), & Castle Leoch (Doune Castle). We even managed to find time for an brilliant Whisky tour at Deanston Distillery...highly recommend, beautiful place!

Outlander Village

Day 2 — highland style! Woke up in Pitlochry this morning and decided to spend a bit of time here...beautiful scenic town, great shopping! We visited the very awesome Heathergems factory and watched while this awesome product was created...fascinating that the ‘gems’ are intact made from heather twigs...awesome shop here too! Then we went to Blair Athol Distillery...absolutely stunning wee building, very charming! We learned loads from Paul, and the ladies enjoyed a whisky tasting or 2... Highland Folk Museum was next, and some time in the ‘Outlander’ village...scenes where the Mackenzie men collected the rents, and Claire waulked wool! Onward to Culloden Battlefield, always very solemn, where we walked around and paid our respects while chatting over the Battle. Last visit of the day was to the very dramatic Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness....location is so beautiful. Busy, but fantastic wee day.

Day 3 — absolutely awesome! We left Fort Augustus this morning and travelled to Torlundy in Fort William where we enjoyed views across this amazing area....and and THE best hot chocolate ever! Lol We then travelled to Glenfinnan where we learned about Bonnie Prince Charlie’s Landing in Scotland..very interesting! Continuing on to Glencoe and Glen Etive, this area is so special, colours are spectacular, and we enjoyed every bit of it! Last stop was to feed our super cute ‘hairy coos’! We have seen so much over the last 3 days, and I have loved every second with my fabulous ladies! I know they are going to love Edinburgh.
